People in Finland are still underestimating Challenge classes. They go for elite but actually they end up to not racing the international races because they are not good enough. Wouldn't it be better to be averige in Challenge class than not race at all. Learning to race a big events you can learn only by doing it. It's a whole different world. I can't explain it, you need to feel it. That's why I'm hoping to get as many riders as possible to come to the Worlds! People need to see and feel what is it about so we can get the bmx in Finland to make a progress. Make a step to be closer to the Olympic dream. At the moment it is too tough to get the tickets to watch the Olympic BMX, not to mention to race it!
First step would be to get people to know the sport and know the rules. The last race meet we had there was unbelievable situation when the ref didn't know the rules and drop the kid to be 8th after pulling in front of the other in the race. That is exactly what you are supposed to do.
