Great men (and a woman), great show and a memory that I will never forget! <3 Thanks to my readers because without you I wouldn't have power to write and then I would have missed all this.. <3
Nitro Circus freestyle show, where you can see flips done with all kinds of appliances, came to Finland for the first time. I got message from the group already at beginning of year. I helped them the best I could to make the show possible in Finland. And we were successful. And lucky me I got 2 tickets from the group for helping them. I raffle the other ticket in my facebook earlier. ![]() Fast trip to Finland beggings. I'm almost so tired that I don't get any hype when going to the stadium. We got in and I hear the sound of the bikes, suddenly I'm not tired any more. Our seats are on VIP area. It means we get to follow the show right by the riders. That's good and bad. Actually I think you can see better from the upper stands, but on the ground level you feel like you are part of the group. I even get one of the shirts they throw in to audience, but I gave it to the kids behind me. They enjoy it more and I'm already high for the the catch ;) The entire show is about kicking some tricks, with motocross bike, bicycles, scooters, skateboards, inlines.. and all kinds of own vehicles. Flip, double flip, flip with 720 degrees rotation, superman, flip and superman at the same time... and many more. ![]() You could think that those tricks are done and dusted in 5 minutes. And they actually are, but the theme in the show keeps on changing so even the smallest FMX fan is still in love to the show after watching two hours. In middle of the show Travis Pastrana asked for two volunteers from the audience to be part of the show. I was thinking hard should I.. should I?? They came to pick the people from just in front of my nose. Should I?? After hearing that there is a big risk to get hurt I back down. I don't want to waste all the work I have done during the winter. I didn't raise my hand. ![]() After a while the volunteers came to the arena with full MX wear. They were told that they will try to make back flip with 3 riders on the bike. Two volunteers and Nitro Circus rider controlling the gas. On the screen was shown some crashes from the previous shows. Pretty cool... three rounds to get good feeling and more gas. Hit the jump, really low. Not looking good. Back flip and perfect landing. OMG! Why didn't I raise my hand?? I'm sure they would have picked me.. after the show one of the group members tells me that the risks are seriously high and he wouldn't go for it. I'm pretty sure I will at least year be thinking what if..? ![]() After the show is kinda my favorite part. We get to the back stage to join the groups own price giving ceremony where they eat pizza and drink beer. Give credit to for exable to the best and worst trick of the evening. I get to sit next to Travis Pastrana for whole time. Good moment to talk with him. We got some chatting about over coming the fear. We were thinking that's it's best for me to jump the small jumps as long as I get bored to them and want get to bigger ones without extra preassure. But the most important discussion of ours were about being pro. How he doesn't get tired with it. If someone doesn't know what I mean Travis point it out pretty well by telling that more than half of his time goes to something else than riding. ![]() In my case it's different. I ”waste” my time with struggle of finding new sponsors, to keep the old ones happy, to write to magazines, to my blog.. Travis set off my speak by telling that before he came to Europe he got up to broadcast on 6 am TV news after that he flew to other city for radio interview, after that to one more city for another radio, from there to airport to get to Finland. Where is show. The following day the go to Denmark and have another show. The same thing will go on as long as you don't get too tired or hurt. Photos: Ansku Sinisalo/ www.anskusinisalo.com The skill of not getting too tired is main thing. The relaxation and enjoying the group had for show is admirable. If you start to take stress for the show the fire goes don't before it's time. And if you don't enjoy with 100% sooner or later you will find yourselve from middle of the ocean on the rubber dinghy with a hole.
